HyLife’s Ongoing Commitment to Employee Safety

The safety of all HyLife employees is a top priority and we are proud to maintain an excellent safety record. We take our safety responsibilities very seriously. To help ensure this, HyLife examines all potential hazards in its work places and does everything possible to reduce or eliminate risks to our employees. We also enforce strict safety policies that are fully compliant with the federal and provincial Health and Safety legislation.

Employees are encouraged to bring forth any workplace health and safety concerns. Our Workplace Health and Safety Committees meet to address related issues and discuss ways to upgrade our already high safety standards. Additionally, all employees benefit from various safety courses provided by the company. HyLife’s Health and Safety department provides vision and guidance to the committees and employees, further ensuring that the company’s workplaces are as safe and healthy as possible.

HyLife’s Ongoing Commitment to Consumer Safety

Consumers place their trust in the quality, nutritional value and safety of our products. HyLife never takes this trust for granted. To ensure our animals receive only safe, quality feed (which in turn ensures safe, high quality product for the consumer), all HyLife feed mills are Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified. HACCP is an internationally recognized food safety program. In addition, HyLife Ltd. is fully compliant with all levels of the Canadian Pork Council’s Canadian Quality Assurance (CQA) program. The CQA program is based on the HACCP system and has been recognized by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency as an approved method of maintaining food safety at every level of pork production.
