Training opportunities provided by HyLife
HyLife offers a variety of developmental opportunities for our employees. The state-of-the-art training room at our La Broquerie office can seat up to 60 learners and has video-conferencing capabilities and a low-oxygen supplier.
Programs and seminars facilitated in-house include: a 12-month leadership training course, management training focused on 7 key skills, team building based on a recognized personality profiling instrument, and computer training courses. HyLife ensures that all staff meet our health and safety requirements with many requiring training in First Aid, WHMIS, and Hydrogen Sulfide. Another important internal program is HyLife’s on-going English as a Second Language school which is customized to include important language skills related to the swine industry.
Partnering with a local community college, HyLife also sponsors relevant correspondence courses that teach the technical skills required of swine technicians.
On-the-job training and informal mentoring are vital components that work in harmony with our formal offerings to maximizing the potential of all HyLife employees and encourage an environment of continuous learning and growth.
